Located at 9114 Katy Hockley Rd in Katy, TX, Beverly Kaufman Dog Park offers pet owners and their furry friends a welcoming escape with wide-open spaces perfect for exercise and socialization. The park boasts a spacious, well-maintained fenced area where dogs can safely roam off-leash, and there are designated sections for both small and large dogs. Visitors appreciate the 1/2 mile paved walking trail, making it one of the best dog parks in Katy for owners who want to enjoy a stroll while their pets play.
Comfort is considered with covered gazebos and benches for relaxing, although shade can be limited on sunny Texas days. Water fountains and cooling showers are available for dogs, but some reviews note inconsistent water quality and functionality, so bringing your own water is recommended. Waste stations and bins are conveniently placed throughout, ensuring a clean environment. With friendly pets, responsive maintenance, and extra attractions like nearby sports fields and trails, Beverly Kaufman Dog Park is a pet-friendly highlight in the Katy area.
I had hoped this would be a great new spot for my dog. The people and dogs are friendly but there is little if any shade. We went on a cloudy and windy day so it was pleasant but on a normal Texas day it would be unbearable. There are only four water drinking stations for the dogs and one didn’t put out more than a small drip of water and the others wouldn’t drain so they had filthy standing water that who knows how long it had been there. So sad that I will still have to drive to the other side of town to get to a decent dog park.
No dog washing station
No adequate drinking water
No shade

Took my little guy to the small dog park for the first time. Nothing but a field with a concrete path. Did have one shaded sitting area and several benches around the park. No dog wash but not really necessary because there is no pond. Do have cooling stations and water fountains. Will I return? Nah… there are others in the area I’m going to check out.

I absolutely love this dog park for my greyhound. We frequent here often, and there’s enough room for her to run and interact with the 1 or 2 other humans/their pack of dogs that might show up while we are here. Plenty of open space for her to really run. 1/2 mile paved walking trail for the humans. There are graciously spaced poo bag receptacles & waste bins. Plenty of gazebos w/benches, and several open air benches for relaxing. This is the cleanest, most well maintained dog park I’ve been to in all of TX/OK/TN. The fence is 6ft, and solid/well maintained. I always bring water with me to avoid the communal drinking fountains/watering bowl combos. Everyone’s always friendly, and so are the dogs. Hidden gem for those that don’t want to entertain the busier dog parks.

I would NOT recommend this dog park given there is no dog pools or good hydration for your dog. They have these ridiculous cooling showers (see pix) that someone thought would be enjoyable for your dog to sit under. The dog fountains are dismal as well. To help understand my ratings I’m comparing this park to Mary Joe Peckham in Katy Proper.
