St. John's Dog Park

St. John’s Dog Park is a small, fenced green space in Kansas City, KS, featuring separate areas for small dogs and ample room for dogs to run and play off-leash. It offers scenic views of the Kansas City skyline, wheelchair accessibility, and street parking. The park includes poop bags and trash cans but lacks water fountains, shade, and extensive amenities. Some visitors note that the fence height may be insufficient for very large dogs, and the park has a peaceful, quiet atmosphere.
Reviews
Big fenced in park. Has been empty when I’ve gone. Has some benches to look over at the city.
Small park but good enough for our dogs to work off some energy during our roadtrip across the country. Nice views of the city skyline.
Pros: Nice green grass, good square footage, pretty nice view.
Cons: No water, no shade, no benches. Muddy in spots. Grass is long so it’s hard to see poop. One latch is broken on the gate. Smaller than I expected since it’s just a fenced and sodded field with no amenities. Also (relevant if you have a large or giant dog) the fence is under 5 feet in places and our giant dog was tempted to try to jump over when she was ready to go.
Other notes: There is a small dog side. It’s very small. There are poop bags and trash cans which is fantastic. The poop bags that are here are all jumbled up and wet. Street parking and plenty available. Also, I’m from California so I may very well be spoiled, idk.
