Great place if you like secludedness. Only very few tourists make it this far up the coast. Mostly locals, who usually just stay for a short swim. This is usually not a sunny place because the mountains come really close to the shoreline here and tend to catch the clouds. So, not for sunbathers, but great if you intend to spend a peaceful day on the beach because you won’t burn up as easily.

With the little time we had to squeeze in a hike. This place was found on my way to visit my cousin for lunch. I just read state park. We had 1 free day and this is what we decided. Mahalo…..Nakoa Trail amazing time.

This was amazing. They have two different trails, one to the mountain and one to a lake. There are also locals around who are friendly and willing to help. We had a friendly local names Kahala who took us on a free tour of his garden and showed us everything about his plants, food and fruits and let us try all the fruits for free even. The place is a hidden gem.

Spent two nights. Clean, beautiful views. Right along Hwy 83. Traffic drops off about 11p. The chickens will wake in time to start your day.

Such a nice park. We are some lunch here we got from a local grocery store. It’s polluted with microplastics that floated ashore. It’s sad to see because it’s so beautiful. It’s a secret spot though so don’t tell people about this place. It’s on the side of the road with plenty of parking spaces
