Located on St Marys Rd, this spacious and well-maintained dog park is a favorite spot for local pet owners in Junction City, Kansas. The park is fully fenced, providing a safe and secure environment where dogs can run off-leash and play freely. Its large open area offers plenty of room for dogs to exercise, socialize, and enjoy the outdoors. While popular amenities like double-gated entries and separate sections for small or large dogs are not present, visitors appreciate the wide-open layout, making it suitable for dogs of all sizes to mingle together.
This dog-friendly park includes several picnic tables and a small covered gazebo for shade and seating, making it comfortable for both pets and their owners. You’ll also find a small agility area for extra fun and exercise. Although there are poop bag dispensers, it’s best to bring your own just in case they run out, as clean-up depends on responsible park visitors. There’s a water spigot available, but its functionality may vary, so consider bringing water for your dog. With its welcoming atmosphere, ample space, and local community feel, this park is a top choice for dog owners seeking a place to relax and connect in Junction City.
They don’t offer size sections for small/puppies and no poo bags. I am only comparing this to other parks that have these amenities. Very spacious with picnic tables, very nice. Lots of dog poo laying about, but that is due to irresponsible owners.
Took my dog for the first time while the park itself was clean , but how are you supposed to give your dog a drink if the faucet doesn’t work? Had the hose on the fence and a bowl but nothing came out .
Pretty well maintained and spacious safe space to let your dogs off the leash for some good exercise. There are several picnic tables and a small gazebo for sitting and watching your dog. Also several dog waste bag dispensers are available and there are a few dog play structures.
Spacious park, poo bags, picnic tables, water spigot, a small agility course, and friendly people!
Well maintained. There are multiple picnic tables, at least 1 poop bag station that actually has poop bags in it to use, a shaded gazebo, and an area to work on agility. It is really big too. I’ve only met nice dogs, and usually there’s at least a handful of dogs there in the evenings.
