Another beautiful day for a hike in the park. Easily walkable trails and even had some runners on the trails. Found a cluster of oyster mushrooms. I ate them on the way home. I wish I took a picture to show my find. Lots of shrooms around if you know where to look. Just be careful, not all are edible!

An incredible time hiking and we found a wonderful place to just sit and read a book for a while. The most beautiful surroundings.

Really neat little park and waaaaaay more than I expected! There’s a beautiful stream, tons to look at, several trails, picnic areas… You can veer from the paths and look at the area without a fear of getting lost. Some paths are gravel and some are just …paths. We made our hike into 4 miles and stretched that to about 2 hours because we got sidetracked a few times looking at different things in the forest. I’d advise wearing comfy shoes and bringing a water bottle. There’s picnic areas and trash cans throughout but no fountains.

What a wonderful park! I’ve seldomly visited this park while living in PA my entire life. Now that I have lived out of state in the city – it’s a wonderful place we always visit to get back to nature and unwind when in town. The trail is a good mix of difficulty that my 4 year old is able to do it. Parking can be limited and lack of facilities are the only downfalls. We usually hike and visit the coffee shop and bookstore across the street. Great way to spend a morning.

A little part of paradise off the beaten path. So peaceful and beautiful. Quiet and tranquil. Different trails to explore. Trails are well marked and defined. Places to stop and watch nature along the trails. Though there are multiple people on the trail you would not know it. Sit and watch the water flow on by. Take a moment and enjoy what is around you. The trails are manageable for any skill level. You can bring a friend to watch the with or your fur baby is welcome as well. Enjoy the day with a small walk in the middle of the “city”.
