The only good thing about this is how close you are to the city. However, it’s a 20-minute walk to the Jersey Subway. I thought it was closer than that.
It’s just a parking lot with RV hookups. And so expensive. NULL a night. Feels like a lot for a parking lot.
Check out is at 11:00
It’s an extra 40 bucks to stay until 4:00

I was worried based on the photos I saw but this was a great stay. Shower was WARM, locked, and clean. Laundry available and clean. Service exceptional. So helpful with information.

The only complaint was the smoker next door coughing so much at 1030pm! I also used a blackout curtain bc of city lights.

What a fun stop.

As someone who was apprehensive about the tent camping experience, allow me to break it down for you! Staying here at the tent sites was overall a very great experience. The location is fantastic, the area is safe, and it really is the best bang for your buck. The tent sites are definitely on the smaller side. Unless you have a small tent, there is no room to hang out in your plot. Fortunately there was only one other tent camper, so we were able to hang out on the empty lot next to us. Also BRING A HAMMER! You’ll need to stake your tent down because of the wind, and you won’t be able to press your stakes into the turf by hand. If you prefer shade in the morning, camp at site 6 or 7. If you prefer shade in the evening, camp at site 1 or 12. Because the sites are by the street, there is some light noise from cars and people but it didn’t bother us. My only noise complaint is the laundry machines squeaked badly when in use (and the facility was right next to our tent). One of my bigger concerns about tent camping was safety, but we had zero issues and felt safe the whole time. We had a lock on our tent for good measure, but there was a never a point were we felt unsafe. Overall a very fun experience with little complaints, we would absolutely tent camp again.

PS: it’s an urban setting, at night there are rats that scurried around the tent area. Keep your food in your car and your tent shut, they won’t bother you.

This was in a great location to see the Statue of Liberty. I was there with just my girls and it seemed decently safe too. They had a gate and security. We were able to walk over to Liberty Park from the campground and then got on a ferry to go to the island. I didn’t get to experience it but it sounded like there might have been night life either on the pier or a block away, so that would be fun for someone without kids. The only drawback is not having sewer in sites, but I knew that going in. They do have a dump station.

Perfect spot for exploring NYC! It was so great being able to stay in our home on the road while being a few steps from this amazing city. Our electric and water hookups were great & we felt safe the entire time, even at night. The short walk to the PATH station made it super easy to access any part of the city. We will absolutely be back if ever in the area!
