Located in the heart of Liberty State Park, the Grove of Remembrance offers a peaceful and scenic spot for dog owners and visitors in Jersey City, New Jersey. This pet-friendly area provides beautiful views of the lower Manhattan skyline, tranquil walking trails, and a serene grove perfect for enjoying quiet moments with your leashed pup. The area serves as a memorial, featuring a tribute stone with engraved names, adding a unique, reflective charm to your visit.
Dog walkers will appreciate the well-maintained, small trails ideal for a casual stroll or a more brisk walk. While not a traditional dog park with fenced enclosures or off-leash zones, the Grove of Remembrance is a picturesque stop for dog-friendly hiking and connecting with nature. It’s an excellent place to pause along your outing, take in the views, and reflect in a calm environment.
This review will not add anything to what others have said, but my pictures may help to show what the actual remembrance memorial looks like.
Quiet, peaceful area when I visited in the spring. Gives way to good skyline views. Plenty of small trails for walking and running.
This isn’t meant to be a negative or anything, you will probably only spend a few minutes in this literal spot. I wouldn’t describe it as a “destination”. But a nice place to stop along your way
