🐾 How to Handle Aggressive Dogs at the Dog Park – Real Advice from Dog Owners
Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
Dog Park at 364 9th St is a small, private dog park located in the heart of Jersey City, New Jersey, specifically maintained for residents of the nearby condominium. Known for its highly manicured look, the park features both turf and concrete surfaces, providing dogs with a clean and secure environment to play. The double-gated entrance enhances safety for pets, and a unique log bridge adds a touch of agility fun, making this one of the more distinctive dog runs in Jersey City.
This Jersey City dog run is kept in excellent condition and, during the warmer months, may even offer a dog pool for extra fun. Water is available through a strong tap (though visitors should bring their own bowl), but you’ll want to bring your own poop bags as they are not provided. The park is especially welcoming for shyer or selective dogs due to its private, quieter atmosphere. Note that access is restricted to condo residents, requiring a key fob for entry.
Nice small dog park with a double gate. Part concrete, part turf. Has a strong water tap (no hose, no bowl). No poop bags. There’s a log bridge feature. Great spot for private play. Make sure to ask before going in if someone is inside – this is a rare haven for the shyer, selective, and/or less friendly dogs. Not every dog likes strangers.
This is a **PRIVATE** dog run, belonging to the nearby condo. Not realizing this, I tried to visit but couldn’t gain access (seems to require a key fob). I called JC Parks and Rec who confirmed this is a private run. Sharing this info so others don’t make the same mistake as me!
FWIW, the run is small but looks very well maintained. It has turf (not grass), concrete, and a hardscaped log for dogs to cross over/under. It’s definitely a specific style of dog park— i.e., a highly manicured, engineered aesthetic— so if that’s what you’re looking for, hopefully you are affiliated with this condo, ha.
Hudson had a good time having fun w his friends at the dog run! It’s a little small but it’s well kept and fun for the pup to get his running and play time in. Make sure to bring your own bags and some extra water for the pup.
Very small but functional with running water, log for agility/fun, in summertime they have a dog pool filled with water here!
It’s okay. Half concrete half turf. There’s a log that the dogs can walk across or under.
