I loved this little hike! So many birds on the trail, and the views were great!

Beautiful hiking area. The waterfall we saw was gorgeous. We stayed on an upper trail and took an easy walk, even with my knee being about ready for replacement. And the drive was awesome as well. But please note. I mapped this 3 different times before we left the hotel in Sante Fe to be sure we could time it and meet people for lunch in Albuquerque. Map said it would take 2.5 hours and it took nearly 4 and that was with a great deal of speeding! But the road along the way had some incredible views of the mountains and creeks. Parking was free, no entrance fee. And decent bathrooms.

This has become one of my favorite hiking paths. I love the water, the luscious greenery, the wild flowers, the canyon and its rock formations; it’s all very beautiful.
