Beautiful hike. Well worth the fee. Be sure to hike through the slot canyon.
Beautiful out and back trail, first half is along the red rocks and second half is the slot canyon itself. 1.5 miles total and dog friendly. Requires a NULL permit per person which can only be purchased at the visitor center across the street during their open hours. Open 9-5 daily.
This place is amazing! Not quite Monument Valley, but very close! The price of admission is not very cheap for 12 a pop, but the experience well worth it. Very well maintained trails and the view is breathtaking. Depending on which part of the day you visit, the cliffs glow bright red in the sunshine. Make sure to check out the slot canyon at the end of the trail!
Amazing! Easy trek, only approximately 1 mile there and back. My only complaint is the price… NULL for me, NULL for each of my four kids. With tax NULL.33 for my four children & I for an hour… kids should be free.
Came to the area to see the Gilman tunnels- but stopped at the Jemez visitor/welcome center just because… I had read reviews that the price of the trails was NULL per person, but that info didn’t match my experience. Pricing as of Oct 2023 was NULL for 1 person. NULL per person for 2-3 people. NULL per person for 4+. Since the cost of my group was NULL and not NULL, I opted to go. Super glad I did! This loop trail is lined with rock borders much of the way so you simply walk the path. There is only one place that forks- and that leads to the slot canyon. Don’t miss it!!!!
