Hidden Gem ! Travel back in time 200 years. Beautiful well maintained walking trails in a wooded area along butternut creek behind the old Glenn loch restaurant in Jamesville NY. Take out what you bring in, very dog friendly. A must stop if your a nature lover. Benches are spread out at perfect points to just sit and enjoy the roar of the creek rushing over rocks or the babbling of the creek just rolling peacefully along, both are very satisfying. I’m pretty sure this would be a great area for trout fishing in season. By the way, I walk with a cane and easily navigated the paths.
Peaceful small wooded park on a creek. Nice place to take a short walk or wade in the water on a hot day.
This was a quick walk from where I was staying in Jamesville. I want to enjoy a Pokemon Go event at a place with some stops. I love walking pretty parks during these events and was happy to know this one was down the street. I was a bit concerned about the snow-covered ground as I am not used to trekking through snow or ice. This little park had a trail, and you could see that it was used even on snowy days like this. I was a little scared to go all the way down to the river, but I still enjoyed the woods and fresh air. It was a great park and I hope to see it without the snow next time.
