Parkside Manor Apartments - Jamaica, NY

One of a few first tenants in this lovely brand new building! Love my apartment. Amenities and services are good. The management company is responsive, good, and gets things taken care of. The building is also near a park, train lines, and stores. Will give it 5 stars once the rooftop is complete 😇

If you can afford it then go ahead and apply you won’t regret! All amenities are brand new, Great closet space, dishwasher and washer/dryer in unit. Building is always clean, any concerns management answers right away and gets any problems taken care of as soon as possible and the staff is super friendly and helpful. Also the other tenants are peaceful and quiet! You don’t even hear dogs barking and we have dogs in the building I am very happy and satisfied with my living within the 4 months of being here

Just moved in here a few days ago. The best apartment I’ve ever lived in! 1B units are very spacious, the views from the balcony are gorgeous and a close walk to everything. The building is also very quiet and everyone is friendly!!!

Dont move in if you need sleep!!!!! 6 for the building and but 2 for the noisy neighbors. You hear everything and they don’t seem to care. I regret it sooooo muchhhh 🙁 only 8months to go. Management doesn’t care either and the realtor lied as well about the noise level. They tell you 3 months for parking space and ive been here 7 months and nothing. Im in the second floor and you hear the weights from the gym that people drop and the garage door opening and closing. Bedrooms are connected to livingrooms and i most of the time cant sleep cuz of my neighbor. I have submitted over 20 complaints and nothing. Ive been thinking going to court to cut my lease but my work is so bush they so lucky. Only nice thing here is the doormans, god bless them. Please dont do it!!! For 2600 hundred 1bd is not worth it at all.

I’ve been living in this building as of mid 2023 . The apartments are very modern ,available amenities are decent, except for parking space. The building is always clean, and the reception staff are very nice and helpful.
Everything was fine until July last year when someone started smoking 🍃 inside the building. The smell is so strong it comes through my apartment’s air vents and Im not sure from which unit it’s coming from. It was reported to both the resident manager and the property management. They said all they could do was send a reminder email to the tenants on my floor and above “that smoking isn’t allowed inside the building”. Unfortunately, that didn’t help at all it’s only gotten worse and now it happens at all hours, especially late at night. I had reported this several times and finally I was told that HVAC would be contacted to inspect the air vents, it has now been almost a month and no action has been taken !
On top of that the noise levels in this building are awful. There seems to be no soundproofing. You can hear everything: loud conversations, arguments,music, dogs barking, doors slamming and its even worst someone from one of the units above my floor be making loud banging and dragging noises especially after midnight .I can hear the noises clearly in my apartment .Smh
This is my first time living in an apartment building and unfortunately it has been a frustrating and disappointing experience. The reality of living here is far from what was advertised. With high rent, a long lease agreement with strict building rules. One would expect a well Managed, Peaceful and Safe environment,but that has not been the case

I understand no building is perfect, but I believe tenants deserve to live in a space where their concerns are taken seriously and acted upon . Living in a shared space comes with challenges, but when people are inconsiderate and management fails to act on repeated complaints, it becomes exhausting! I Hope management resolve these issues soon to avoid the need of further escalation .
