🐾 How to Handle Aggressive Dogs at the Dog Park – Real Advice from Dog Owners
Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
Parkhill City is located in the heart of Jamaica, New York, and promises a convenient address for residents and their pets. However, reviews indicate significant management and amenity issues at this property, including frequent unavailability of promised amenities and unresponsive management. Prospective dog owners searching for a reliable and well-maintained dog park in Jamaica, NY, may want to explore dedicated dog parks in the area instead.
The property markets itself as pet-friendly, yet there is no detailed information on dedicated dog park features or facilities specifically for dogs, such as fenced areas, off-leash zones, or pet amenities. Prospective residents and dog owners are encouraged to verify any pet-related amenities directly, as online reviews reference only broader building concerns and repeated lack of follow-through on advertised amenities.
Living here has been nothing but a headache. They’ve been saying for years that we’d have a pool, sauna, and jacuzzi, but still nothing. They keep advertising it like it’s available, but it’s just a lie to get people to move in. Management is impossible to reach, maintenance is a joke, and the building is falling apart.
Don’t even get me started on the way some of the staff treat tenants—completely unprofessional, rude, and even racist.
Security is trash, the parking gate is broken half the time, and there’s no real accountability. If you’re considering moving here, save yourself the stress and look somewhere else.
Living at 152-11 89th Ave under Plaza Management has been a nightmare. Here are just a few of the ongoing issues:
• Unresponsive Management: They never answer calls or emails, and getting any issue resolved is nearly impossible.
• Security Concerns: The parking gate is frequently broken, making the building feel unsafe. Key fobs are randomly deactivated without notice, leaving residents locked out.
• False Promises: The pool, jacuzzi, and sauna have been “coming soon” for years, yet nothing has been built.
• Harassment & Retaliation: After reporting an issue with a staff member, my paid parking spot was suddenly revoked with no valid reason. Even after confirming my parking was valid until March 31, my remote access was shut off.
• Poor Maintenance: The building is not kept clean, garbage piles up, and basic repairs take forever.
This is not a luxury building—it’s a poorly managed scam. If you’re considering moving here, DON’T. Save yourself the stress and look elsewhere.
I regret ever moving into Parkhill City. The management is unresponsive, and getting any maintenance request fulfilled feels like pulling teeth. The building looks nice on the surface, but once you move in, you realize how poorly maintained it actually is. Elevators are constantly out of service, packages go missing, and the hallways are often dirty.
The worst part is the noise—whether it’s from thin walls or inconsiderate neighbors, don’t expect any peace and quiet. For the price they charge, you’d expect at least decent customer service, but management ignores complaints and gives you the runaround. If you’re thinking about living here, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.
I have had an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience with Plaza Management at 152-11 89th Ave. This building has continuously failed to deliver on its promises, including access to amenities like the pool, sauna, and jacuzzi—which have been advertised for over five years but remain unavailable. The management is unresponsive, the parking gate is frequently broken, and getting any issues resolved is nearly impossible.
On top of that, I have experienced blatant harassment and discrimination from staff. After being locked out of my apartment while cooking, a staff member refused to let me in, forcing me to call the fire department for assistance. During this situation, I was subjected to racial slurs and further mistreatment. The next day, management retaliated against me by revoking my paid parking spot without justification, despite my payments being made on time. I later received written confirmation that my parking was valid until March 31, yet my remote access was still deactivated.
This type of behavior is unacceptable, unprofessional, and possibly illegal. If you are considering renting here, I strongly advise against it. The lack of accountability and the way tenants are treated make this one of the worst living experiences I have ever had. I will be pursuing legal action and reporting these issues to the appropriate housing authorities.
DO NOT rent here unless you want to deal with false promises, terrible management, and outright harassment.
The reviews are horrible for a reason. Horrible and unresponsive management. I emailed for 3 weeks for updates and next steps for my application even after paying a scam 500$ to secure a unit. They told me they accepted third party guarantors and then told me I was eligible after I was approved by the guarantor site and was waiting. As I asked for updates complete silence. Then I have been waiting 2 weeks and counting just to get a response on processing my refund. You cannot get a hold of anyone. I do not know how they are running a business.
They are not worth the headache. I applied to a brand new APT complex in that area and got approved and running in 2 days.
