William G Sheffield Regional Park is a massive outdoor space with two large bodies of water ideal for swimming or kayaking, also large walking trails, basketball courts, tennis courts, huge playground and lots of rope swings. This is a great parking to spend hours in nature.

Great park! My kids love this place. I do wish there were bathrooms closer to the playground. That’s where we mostly hang out. We also just found the new pickleball courts and love them!

At first I didn’t think much about reviews mentioning trash, until I saw the problem first hand. Very sad.

The ONLY concern is this, don’t people understand when you pick your dogs poop up in a bag they are supposed to put the bag with the poop in it in the trash??? I saw at least 5 bags of poo thrown in the shrubs… Other than people creating a dog poop issue the park is super clean! The pond is clear. The trails are easy to walk.

Overview: The park is a nice size getaway for the day. Many people love to bring their dogs and walk in the big open field next to a small lake. You can play basketball, go fishing off a small dock and play whatever game you want in a few large open areas. What to know: There are restrooms in the front and rear of the park. The basketball courts are in good condition. The nice ample space next to the lake that you can venture about. I have seen people fish in the lake, so bring a poll—a good amount of parking along with a playground for the kids. The Oceanway Sports Association is located in the back. The gates are closed unless there is an event going on. There was a bit of trash lying around the last time i visited. It takes all of us to keep things clean.
