FAQ for Springfield Park in Jacksonville Florida:
Sam loved the park and had a friendly playdate with lots of new dog friends. It was our first time and from this experience, we will be back. I love that they have a little doggie pool, lots of running space and water for the fur animals.
The Confederate Monument is beautiful. It’s the only thing that makes this park worth visiting. The area does not appear very safe though and appears not family friendly. Hopefully the mayor allows this beautiful history to remain .
This place is beautiful. Nice and peaceful with tons of grass for my furbaby to run and play. It also has a walkway all the way around and I can get in a couple of miles of walking while my dog plays, or just sit on the benches and chitchat with people. The people I’ve met there are really nice.
Beautiful but needs to be open at the front side as well so my walking group can walk all the way through the park.
It’s a quiet historic park. The roses are beautiful. The geese and ducks trotter around. Hopefully COJ will spend a little money to do a few repairs soon. But it is still a nice place for a walk. The dog park is just across the street too.
This is a great large open area dog park. There is not a separate area for small dogs, not that I have any just thought I’d mention. Has an area for washing off dogs and even a pool to fill up. Today the dog park was clean, they had just mowed and picked up all the trash that you normally find. No flooding today usually it’s half under water after a good rain. Speaking of mowing it would be nice if they would accually BAG the clippings my dogs were covered in wet grass. Area of town is sketchy but No one has ever bothered or intimidated me. I love the sidewalk that goes all the way around the park. Plenty of seating through out.
