South Mandarin Library Park in Jacksonville, Florida, is a welcoming green space offering a serene setting for families and individuals. While this isn’t an off-leash dog park, it can be a convenient stop for pet owners looking for dog-friendly walking opportunities in the area. Visitors can enjoy the park’s proximity to the South Mandarin Library, making it ideal for a relaxing stroll with your leashed pet.
This Jacksonville park is perfect for those seeking dog-friendly trails and a quiet environment outside dog-specific enclosures. Please note that dogs must remain on-leash while exploring the pathways and green spaces here, so it’s best suited for casual walks and time spent outdoors with your furry friend.
Don’t waste your time. You’re walking around a dried up pond.
It’s convenient maintenance not great. 🗑 need to be emptied way more often and fallen limbs and branches never get cleaned up
This is definitely not a dog park. Although you can walk your dogs here and they will have plenty to sniff around on, there’s not much else to do here.
The pond in the middle of the park is nearly completely dry, and if there is anything living in it, it is nothing that you want to be around.
I give this park 2 stars because it’s not the worst park that I’ve ever been in, but it does look like a crime scene waiting to happen.
I take my dogs here every day. I sure wish there was a way to put more water in the pond there is a mating pair of box turtles there. I even saw a baby turtle about the size of a silver dollar. Sure gonna miss it if it us gonna be turned into housing.😟
Not a dog park at all. No fence for dog safety; just a big hole in the middle filled with water; a small circle to walk around.
