FAQ for Landon Park in Jacksonville Florida:
Great park with tons of different things to do for kids of most all ages!! 1- 15… plus it’s only half a block away from the river where there is a bulkhead with a extra wide sidewalk. I see a lot of people hanging out there taking videos and pictures at the sunset. There is even a little stop to fish from at the end…. Swings, rope mountains timber, playground for kids. There’s even one for really small toddlers. Can’t forget about the butterfly sanctuary!!! There’s even plenty of room for you to bring your dog. There’s water fountains, if you forget to bring a drink or stop in on a whim. This is definitely a great park. Nice neighborhood tons to do. The only downside to the entire park is there’s no bathroom.
I enjoy my childhood outside play location. I wish more people would recognize the location and be willing to be friendly, meet up to play and socialize for activity such as picnics, and share the area. Do they still have a good, large slide? I am upset regarding the continual mention of them taking down the best part of the park. Lastly, I wish people who choose to not be friendly and sociable stay far away from the nice area especially where I hope children can continue to feel safe and play inside a community.🛝 🧺

Such a beautiful park with lots of shade. We had a great morning spent here!
This is a beautiful little park with fabulous swings and playground amenities for your little ones to climb, exercise, and run around. Great trees for shade and a beautiful butterfly garden. There are seats all around and mostly fenced in.
It was drizzling, but the big old trees provided shelter. The kids had fun climbing on the equipment. Most of the ground is covered in wood chips, but there is also a large grassy area. There is also an amazing butterfly garden! Flowers blooming attracted lots of butterflies. It was magical.
