I enjoy hiking this trail when I am in the area. It is just a little over a mile. The view from the tower is beautiful. The trail is pretty level, however be on the lookout for roots as they are a trip hazard on the natural parts of the trail. A lot of the trail is on elevated wooden walkways. The trail would be difficult for wheel chair users, but could be managed with assistance.
I did the Island trail. After a good rain. There were a few puddles but not bad. Decent walk for beginners. Lots a great flowers and plants if you’re into that.
My favorite get away spot. I feel safe here. Met some nice people while fishing and relaxing.
Just a nice little corner of solitude. Quiet and a good view of the water.
