FAQ for Blue Cypress Park in Jacksonville Florida:
It’s a really beautiful walk. The trails were a little confusing to find, I couldn’t see signs that directed you and there are spots on the boardwalk that just have missing side railing so be cautious with kids.
This park is so beautiful and clean. I have been living in this area since 2017 and I absolutely love the renovations they have made to this park, we have a public pool that is humongous. They have recently replaced the dock in the back of blue cypress.its great for fishing shrimping and crabbing, or just to sit and meditate. Everyone here is extra friendly if you come out alone you will definitely make new friends. It’s a beautiful community
My son plays flag football in a men’s league. Always a great time with his team. That’s my son in red with a pick six!!!!!
The river boarded walk way has a very relaxing view and wether you’re jogging or just walking you will notice the calmness with a nice water view 🥰
This park is beautiful, the kids love it! They love the play ground. We also love the stretch of nature, love that we can go biking, fishing and board walking. If you want a break from home and just need a breath of fresh air, this is a great place. You can even picnic here. It’s a great view from the board walk and it’s a suitable place to exercise and just enjoy nature. Definitely recommend going there, you’ll love it!
Spent the afternoon at Blue Cypress park with my three-year-old, and it was a pretty solid experience overall. 🌳 The park is clearly designed with older kids in mind, with its impressive range of sports facilities – from the newly installed pickleball courts 🏓 to a massive football field covered in artificial turf 🏈. They’ve also got basketball courts, tennis courts, and even a golf course, which is a nice touch! ⛳The two play areas are well-maintained, but definitely geared towards older kids. One of them is brand new, only built a few months ago, and it’s got some great equipment that would be perfect for kids who are a bit more independent and adventurous. My little one still had fun, but the play structures were a bit too advanced for her. 🧒One of the highlights for me was the walking trail that starts at the beginning of the park and winds through a beautifully wooded area 🌲. The trail eventually opens up to a stunning view of the St. Johns River, complete with a fishing pier and a boat ramp. 🎣🚤 It’s a peaceful walk, perfect for taking a break from the hustle and bustle of the sports fields. Just be prepared for a bit of a trek if you’re bringing little ones along!Overall, [Park Name] is a fantastic spot if you’ve got older kids who love sports and outdoor activities. For the younger crowd, it’s still a nice place to visit, but I’d love to see a bit more geared towards the toddler age group. 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Clean w nice playground equipment. However, directly beside the e ntrace on Rose Street, the house (duplex both sides) appears to be abandoned and overgrown. Scary looking, could be dangerous. Definitely a blight on the area 🙁
My kids love this park! There are swings, slides, monkey bars, and soccer field. There is plenty of space to run , and a covered picnic area with 1 table. The only con, is there is no bathroom.
Nice little Park with a soccer field. The play area is small and kids may get bored after a bit but has some fun stuff for climbing and sliding. Not really ment for a lot of kids and I didn’t see any public restrooms so better to get the kids to potty before you head there. The parking is a little tricky to see as it’s kind of behind the park in the dirt and not off the main road. There is a dog park right across the street that you can walk to. The people there were nice and didn’t see any vagrants or suspicious people wandering about. Overall a good place and would recommended for kids 5 to 12 years old.
