FAQ for Alberts Field in Jacksonville Florida:
A few months ago, the layout of the Alberts Field was updated. The changes that were made have improved both traffic flow and the parking lot.
Improvements are underway for a newly paved front parking lot. There are six baseball fields, I believe as well as a tennis court, and playground. There are a couple of bathrooms in the same building as the concession stand.
Parking area needs grading. Fields are kept up to an average standard. Concessions booth is usually running if there are a lot of games being played. Restrooms could use a deep cleaning. Overall not a bad park for kids to play baseball.
Ren Bianco this is not just any field. My mom and dad put their Blood Seat and tears in the place for kids to play ball. The main field is named after my dad and the the original building was named after both mom and dad. My father helped to sav many a kid from drugs, but he also lost a few to freak accidents. He loved all of those kids and cried his heart out when one died or was killed. The field was just a little field with nothing on and and because they put the roots down to lay a foundation it is what it is today. Here is a photo of my family accepting the plaque.
Nice small park to walk the dog, not much else though, i dont believe the hold events and they dont have many amenities just a few lunch table, so if you want a picnic or a dog walking spot this place will do.The fact that its on the trout river add to the view though
Great place to play some tennis!!! Lighted tennis courts that stay lit until around 10:30pm. Courts are hard courts that have recently been resurfaced. The Nets are in good shape. There is also a wall to hit on. And the wind screens are not bad.
