Edwin A. Jones Park is a spacious and accessible community park featuring a large fenced dog park area with seating and a covered bench. The park includes paved walking paths along a scenic stream, playground facilities suitable for children, picnic areas, barbecue grills, and well-kept baseball fields. Amenities such as a shelter house and clean public restrooms add to the convenience, while wildlife viewing opportunities and open grassy spaces enhance the outdoor experience. Some maintenance improvements are suggested by visitors, but overall it offers a pleasant environment for dogs and their owners.

Park has a nice concrete walking path that totals about a mile long. You always see wildlife when walking, which is nice when being in town. There is also a large dog park with plenty of benches and a water faucet. Though it does flood from time to time. 2 baseball fields, that are pretty well kept up and a small bathroom instead of an outhouse. The tennis court is rather run down and well as the children’s area. Could use a little work to that but a lot of good open areas. There is also a shelter house and a fish stand the town opens in the summer here and there.

Nice park but I don’t know why the city would put up a sign honoring John Wesley Powell. He was a evil racist!!

The playground is very simple yet fun for kids, the trail is a nice way to walk your doggos. They have a shelter house good for party’s and restrooms in the park are usually clean.

Nice infrastructure in the dog park but no maintenance in a long time. I’m new here. I appreciated the spacious grassy fenced area and the covered bench but there is nothing else here to accommodate pet owners. Next time I am here I will bring some poo bags, garbage bags to replace in the filled up cans, and maybe a tree sapling or two to provide future shade.

We stopped for a quick 1 1/2 walk. The path along the stream was enjoyable and more sunny than I expected. Sadly, the rest of the park needed a bit of TLC. Maybe we just visited on the day before it was mowed.
