The walking trail is a great recreational path for the Belhaven neighborhood and the City of Jackson! I love that it gives residents a nice nature trail to explore and connects several museums in Jackson in a cool way. The only downside is the homeless people have started making encampments around the walking trail but they’re fairly friendly to speak to.
Belhaven trails is a real hidden Gem in the middle of Jackson. The trails are very well maintained and they are not difficult. My 10yr old had a blast and completed 98% of the trails with ease. If your looking for an entrance to MT Biking here it is. If your looking for something easy and different than the same 2 or three other local MTB trails, this is a great start. Keep it up Jackson!!!

What a awesome mountain bike trail in the middle of town. The ladies and gentlemen that worked on trial did a awesome job with the bridges and trail layout. Most of it is pretty nice ride some down hill spots be careful if your not experienced also watch out for ditches near river around the interstate trail near creek crossings. South entrance starts down hill take it slow at the bottom it turns back right the creek is dead in front of you if you go full speed and lose control you will be in the creek. Other than these things be safe and enjoy a good day biking.
My 7yr old daughter and I are traveling from VA. We googled mountain bike trails and came across this beautiful gem in Jackson. We’ve been here almost everyday since! I love the cleanliness of the trail. My baby enjoyed the bike ride while I ran alongside her which is a total plus for me since it was a easy smooth ride & run with fun adventure on every turn!
