Ithaca Dog Park: A Spacious, Friendly Dog Park in Ithaca, New York

Nestled conveniently at 805 Taughannock Blvd along the waterfront, Ithaca Dog Park offers dog owners a clean, spacious, and secure environment for their pets to play off-leash. This popular dog park in Ithaca, New York features both a large main area and a designated “Squeaker Park” just for small dogs (under 25 lbs), so every pup can play safely and comfortably. The fenced park is open, grassy, and well maintained, with picnic tables and benches for owners to relax while their dog gets exercise and socializes.

What makes this dog park unique is its welcoming atmosphere—regulars keep an eye on their pets, there’s plenty of donated dog toys, and a community compost program for waste. The park provides free poop bags and waste stations, along with trash bins for easy clean-up. Dogs can enjoy agility equipment, including ramps and tunnels, and there’s often water available from a manual pump (bring your own bowl recommended). This is a very nice dog park for both dogs and owners. The best part is that there is a separate area for small dogs (up to 25 lbs), so they can play safely. The bigger area is open for all dogs, which is great for those who like to play with different sizes.

The park is spacious. There are picnic tables where you can sit and watch their dogs. Many toys are left/donated by other dog owners, so dogs usually have something to play with.

Love it every time we go. Most dogs are super cute and well behaved, great place to get the zoomies out of your dog. Don’t let the not-so-great dogs ruin your experience, I’ve been here countless times and maybe had a hiccup three times. Dogs can be unpredictable, just be aware of your dog’s and your situation. Places to pick up poop are helpful too, no need to bring people bags but definitely clean up the poops!
