Paul is amazing. He successfully formed an amazing bond with my 6 year old and our new golden retriever puppy. She was petrified of our puppy to the point where we didn’t know if it would work. 1 session of them together and immediately we saw a change. Over time he taught us many strategies and still continues to be a great resource for me to go to. Paul is always willing to answer all my questions. I highly Recommend Paul.
Paul is a great dog trainer and has helped me so much with my husky over the past 5 years since I adopted her. He is very flexible & knowledgeable, practices 100% fear and force free training and really gets to know your dog as an individual in order to determine the best approach. He has helped me to transform my timid girl who was afraid of everything into a confident & social therapy dog & I can not thank him enough for his guidance.
Paul is a great trainer and someone who is extremely knowledgeable about dogs, their needs, wants and their motivations. Paul is always giving references to how pertinent positive reinforcement is and where it originated, how the law of effect plays a huge role in teaching and explains the history of Thorndike’s Reinforcement along with the proven effects. I don’t say specifically dog trainer because ultimately it’s about teaching people so they can then communicate properly with their dogs to grow their relationships, increase desired behavior and add enrichment to their dogs each and every day! Paul is just a very kind hearted person who loves to give dogs the best life possible and is always noticing the smallest micro aggression or frustration in a dog that most people wouldn’t perceive. He is very patient and understanding of how busy a persons schedule can be so from the first session he explained that if I purchased a set amount of classes for a discounted fee that it would be up to me to reach out and set those further appointments up which I really appreciated because life can be crazy! Unforeseen events pop into our schedules, maybe it’s raining out and your dog can’t focus during the rain so holding a session outside while that major distraction is going on will not be helpful to you, your dog or the training in general. Paul was always great about swapping dates or times of sessions which worked perfectly for me since I had a varying work schedule along with being a full time student. His flexibility was definitely a huge benefit for me and his knowledge was not only intriguing but helped me discover an even greater appreciation for dogs which I didn’t think was possible as I am such a dog lover already. I love introducing new enrichment ideas to dogs and helping them by mentally and physically stimulating them. The Flirt Pole is one of my favorite things to use that Paul first introduced to me and my dog Kai instantly connected with it. We were able to make it a fun way of communicating and learning all while having a great time. I would highly recommend Paul to anyone looking to enrich their dog’s life, wants help with training or better communication with their dog or is just curious about force free, fear free training and how to properly implement that in your home! Even after our sessions were completed Paul and I remained in close contact being that he is someone I admire and want to continue learning from so I can keep fueling the positive reinforcement and fear free environment around me even if it starts in small ways.
Paul is the most amazing trainer we have ever worked with. Since my schedule is ever changing he has changed his schedule on short notice to accommodate me. He takes photos of my dog and videos and shares them with me. He is hands on and when I ask I get homework to work on. He has worked with my dog trooper since Trooper was 4 months old. His kindness and compassion is truly amazing. I have another dog was 10 years old who Barks at everyone and does not like other dogs. When Paul arrives she just watches him and truly loves being around him I have never experienced anything like this.
I recommend Paul 100% and if you get the chance you should meet his huskies. They are the best behaved dogs I have ever seen
If you are looking to train your dog with compassion and get a whole new understanding of your dog and why he is doing what he is and how to offer Alternatives Paul is your trainer.
Some photos of our 6-month-old husky, Phoenix’s first professional training session with Paul Kearney at PawesomeDogs.Com! Phoenix is starting to learn some cues and signals that will help her stay safe and reliable while building a strong family bond with us. When we first brought Phoenix home, she thought our daughter was a non-furry playmate, but today within minutes she recognized our daughter as a trusted, loving, fun handler. Our daughter grasped the concepts really quickly, as Paul breaks everything down to be easily understood. She has been applying them around the house all by herself ever since. Paul uses a holistic, fear-free, non-force method which Phoenix found to be extremely fun (like a game), yet it is already solving some of the issues we have been encountering at home. He really understands how a husky’s brain works. If this is what he helped us accomplish in a few minutes, we are very excited to see how Phoenix (and we) progress! If anyone is looking for an experienced, knowledgeable, patient dog trainer, this is your guy! He comes to your home and works with the entire family in your dog’s actual environment. (Thanks, Paul….we will practice what we have learned and see you in about ten days!)
