Love this park it has been a favorite of mine and my family’s for years! Been taking my kids here since they were really little and they always have a good time!
Extensive network of boardwalks over wetlands makes this park somewhat unique. Boardwalks are extended by land trails at perimeter of the park. There is a pass under highway leading to Connetquot River state park via Greenbelt trail.
Given nature of undergrowth in the park tick could be quite an issue in summer time on land trails.
A surprisingly beautiful park tucked away with little attention online. We stumbled upon this park after looking on google for a bit, and loved the wood bridges/trails to follow. The signage is more than adequate to prevent getting lost, and it’s serene the further in you go. Recommended!
Great super easy hike with my UPPA vista 2 make it to the pond just an he before sunset we saw tons of snapping turtles! Super cool to see that. Could sit there for hours if it wasn’t so buggy!
This is gross. 🤮 The last 3 times we’ve been here, there are super young parents overtly high and smelling of weed yet incapacitated while ‘supervising’ their child/children on the playground…the playground is also falling apart and unsafe in several areas. The last time we visited this past fall, my newly turned four-year-old even eventually asked me leave. It’s so sad because it used to be a really nice playground and park overall. For real though, marijuana is legal but why is it that every time I go here I’m the only one who isn’t on this stuff?
