Lost Lake Trailhead is a wheelchair accessible natural area featuring a mostly flat and scenic trail system ideal for hiking, biking, jogging, walking, and birdwatching. The trails are well marked with blue blazes, looped, and great for kids and dogs with spacious rustic campsites nearby. Beautiful woodsy trail. Easy walking or hiking on clearly marked trails with blue blazes. Peaceful and quiet nature area without city life.
Absolutely loved this trail system, I only wish we had more time to run more of the loops. Definitely some areas with heavy roots and some sandy spots in others. Not a beginner trail but nothing to advanced either. Just keep an eye out for vehicles as the trails cross some single track dirt roads. Hope to come back soon.
The pathway can get confusing, so pay attention and stay on the MARKED trail.
The trail is not marked very well, the parking lot says you’re at 2, but you’re actually at 1. The trail is mostly flat and has a lot of roots to be on the lookout for. Some views of the lake and lots of woods, but a small portion is logged…the rest of the trail is pleasant and there are benches along the way if you want a rest.
This trail doesn’t have much elevation, however it was so beautiful on 10/23/23 during peak colors. We hiked almost 7 miles, past several lakes, saw a spectacular show with fall colors and were able to see how spacious and rustic the campsites were on Lake Dubonnet! Next year we are definitely camping there.
