Downey Memorial Pk and Indianola Off-Leash Dog Park

Downey Memorial Park and Indianola Off-Leash Dog Park is a well-loved local dog park featuring two fenced areas separated by dog size — one for dogs under 25 lbs and one for dogs over 25 lbs. It provides play equipment and water fountains in both sections. The park requires a $25 annual membership for access, controlled by a code lock, ensuring a secure and safe environment for off-leash dog play. It is wheelchair accessible and offers parking facilities. Some maintenance concerns were noted but recent updates have addressed some issues.

this place requires a membership and there’s a code lock on the door.
This park has two fenced in areas for dogs. A smaller area for dogs under 25lbs and a larger area for dogs over 25lbs. Both areas include play equipment and water fountains. The negatives include the fact that a NULL annual pass is required to get in and previous visitors to the park haven’t done a great job cleaning up.
Just went to see what the park was like before deciding on getting a membership. The city needs to update this site or clean up the park. I looks nothing like the pictures except maybe the fences dividing the big from the little dogs. I’m still thinking about getting a membership so my dog can run and get exercise but was very disappointed how run down it is compared to the pics on the site.
so much damage!UPDATE!
they have taken down the building and everything that was damaged in my pictures. still have to pay for your pets to run around though.
I have a large puppy that needs socialised by other well behaved dogs. This is a good place for him to meet them. Most people are there to let their dogs play with others. Its,also a safe place to let them off leash in public.
