This trail is not maintained. Make sure to wear good shoes it is very very rocky in one area especially at the beginning. There are spots where the trail has been compromised and is extremely narrow. Up hill mountain goat like trail the whole way up. It switch backs a lot. Very few flat spots. The waterfall was very slow the end of August when we went. For us it was very disappointing for all that climbing on a very small, not maintained, rocky goat trail. The Forest Service definitely needs to step up their game with this waterfall “trail”.
1.5 miles RT. Pathway can be narrow at times. Wear good shoes. Able to get to the water. Still healing from the fires.
The area was burned in the fires, but the hike up is unique. You traverse through boulders and switchbacks, but it is truly an amazement when you get to the falls. We walked the logs to the base and got an even better view.
This was such a lovely waterfall! The trail is fun to hike, lots of sliding between rocks and jumping over small puddles! The trail splits off at one point to continue to the falls, or to go see Job’s garden. I went to Job’s garden and there was a horizon of rocks, with large boulders scattered everywhere. It was a very difficult hike to get there. Afterwards, I went to the falls and found the most peaceful place ever. The waterfall is very cute and the entire area was very tranquil. I will definitely be going back.
