Finding wheelchair accessible accommodations in the Green Mountains can be a challenge. Cabin #2 at Serene Country Cabins is not only an ADA gem, but it is also a charming, wonderfully stocked, and immaculate retreat. The doors are all wide, the spacious bathroom equipped with multiple assist bars and a wonderful roll-in shower (with a shower chair). The bedroom is so roomy; with easy wheelchair maneuverability on both sides (no room under the bed for a Hoyer lift, if you need to use one. We did not). The entrance ramp is totally level, and the parking area crushed stone. Little notes throughout the cabin give tips on operating devices and offer lovely meditations. Motion-sensor outdoor lights, thick towels, a well-stocked kitchen, coasters on all of the tables, and lovely bedding are just a few of the loving touches the owners (who are on-site) have provided. We will be staying at Serene Country Cabins again, for sure!

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. It was very comfortable and had everything needed in the kitchen if you need to prepare small meals. The bed was comfy, and I loved being able to open the windows easily for mountain fresh air! The bathroom is very spacious and equipped with several grab bars and a zero entry shower. It’s a great space for the kids to run around outside, have a picnic or a small campfire.
I would love to stay again.

What a lovely hidden gem in VT! The Cabin was meticulously clean and had everything you could need or think of. We enjoyed using the fire pit and appreciated that there was everything we needed to make a fire happen! Would absolutely recommend staying here, it’s not far from Stowe or Burlington really, and it’s very reasonably priced as well. We will be back!

Me my wife and my dog had an amazing stay here! The cabin is very cozy and has everything you need.

The couple renting out the cabin is super responsive and even came by to bring us some chairs for the outdoor fireplace when we asked.

I highly recommend this stay for anybody that likes to have some quiet remote time in Vermont!
