Amazing spot to experience the total solar eclipse. The trails were lovely and the open field was a perfect viewing spot!

A sign says don’t walk on the trails, but probably should clarify; “in winter when groomed for snowmobiling/XC”… Otherwise; stellar map kiosk information. Plenty of gravel parking. Signs to get you started. A minute off VT Rte 15.

This cross-country trail system is owned and maintained by the Lamoille North Supervisory Union school. It was created for the school’s cross-country ski team, but is open to the public. It’s open to cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in the winter, and mountain biking in the summer. Please read the rules posted at the kiosk. Don’t walk on the groomed trails without snowshoes on, and keep dogs leashed. Remember, it’s school property.

I had a fun time hiking the Bernie Sanders trail. It had the feel of a mountain bike trail with switchbacks and curves as you made your way up the hill. Easy hike in a nice, peaceful setting.
