After our family cat died unexpectedly I filed an adoption application for one of their cats, and got contacted by a volunteer who asked questions about our household and was very attentive in recommending a variety of cats they had available that suited our dynamic. Went to visit the Huntington location with the volunteer and all the kitties and cats were so amazing, I could see that they’re so well taken care of! In the end we adopted a cat that was recommended by the volunteer. Our girl was not a popular choice at the rescue because she didn’t seem friendly, but as soon as we took her home she bloomed and became the most wonderful, loving, cuddly cat ever. We love our Heidi and thank volunteer Lucy and Golden Paw Society for doing this work ❤️
My son had wanted a cat and we found Clayton at their Petsmart location. My son was stopping by multiple times a week and the staff were so nice. Pat is the best and walked us through a quick adoption process and asked all the important questions to make sure Clayton would be a good fit. And she lent me her pet carrier, thanks Pat. Great organization and they’re amazing with how they treat the cats. My son is super happy with his new BFF.
The volunteers and Staff are all incredibly kind and helpful, I recently adopted two kittens and they are the SWEETEST babies I’ve ever met. I can’t take golden paw enough!!
I had the pleaser of adopting two beautiful cuddly boys from this shelter. I walked in after visiting multiple shelters, and the cleanliness here was one big factor. I know how hard running a shelter is but as far as shelters go, this was one of the cleanest I’d been in.
I brought home a pair, brothers who grew up together. They’re both so loving not only towards each other but to everyone. They eat well, adjusted within 12 hours of being in their new home, use the litter box, they’re great boys.
This shelter also made adopting a breeze, informed me of the food they used and the schedule they’re on, made sure all my questions were answered, and they wanted more than anything to see how Caeser and Percy were doing once I brought them home. They wanted to make sure that I was happy, and that there cats went to a good home. 10/10 experience.
Was really down in it after losing a cat I’d had for a while, his old age finally catching up to him. And I’d been on the fence about letting a new cat into my life, especially so soon but my house just seemed empty. Joyless! On Christmas of 2024, after having filled out an application, I’d gone to check out a cat at the Golden Paw named Owen. Saw his picture online and fell in love with him.
He settled in super fast and he fills every day with joy. My camera roll is like, 95% pictures of this guy!! (Renamed to Marshall as I know a few too many Owens lol)
Cannot thank you guys enough! Process was super easy while still being thorough to make sure the kitties go to a good home!! He was in good health upon adopting and especially after reading about how sick he’d been when you guys first found him. Thank you for all you do for cats.
