Downy Loop Trail offers a scenic 1.5-mile loop, perfect for dog owners and families looking for pet-friendly trails in Hudson, Ohio. The trail combines grass, dirt, and extensive boardwalk sections, making it a great destination for a relaxing stroll with your dog. The area features a wheelchair-accessible entrance and parking, reflecting its inclusive environment, while also providing picnic tables and public restrooms for convenience.
Dogs are welcome throughout the park, and the wide, flat paths are great for a casual hike, a jog, or even a lunch break with your pup. Shaded by trees and featuring raised walkways, Downy Loop is especially pleasant on hot, sunny days. Although the park does not have a designated fenced dog park or off-leash area, it’s a wonderful spot for on-leash walking with pets. Don’t forget your boots on wet days, as the grassy and dirt sections can get muddy!
🐶 I eat lunch here regularly! My regular spot!!! You can join me Meeko
Definitely a level 1 hike as most of the trail is a boardwalk. Not a lot to see but worth the visit.
Very nice trail for a short walk. About 1 1/2 miles. Does a big loop and has quite a few raised wooden walkways scattered throughout. Recommend for a pleasant, short walk. Especially on very sunny, hot days
Mediocre trail. Very flat, and has a boardwalk for much of the trail. The pond had a film over the entire thing. Great for a lunch walk, but nothing special as a metro park.
Bring your boots! It’s a nice 1+ mile loop, but it’s either on grass, dirt, or boardwalk – and the grass and dirt can get very muddy! Otherwise it’s a perfect afternoon stroll.
