Cascade Park in Hudson, Ohio is a beautifully maintained, family-friendly park that warmly welcomes dogs and their owners. Nestled at the end of a quiet neighborhood, this pet-friendly park offers scenic, wooded trails perfect for dog walking and hiking. The natural setting, combined with fun outdoor fitness equipment, makes it a popular spot for both dogs and their people to stretch their legs and explore.
Beyond its dog-friendly amenities, Cascade Park stands out for its impressive playgrounds, modern slides (including a notably tall slide), open fields, and a baseball diamond. The park features picnic tables, a barbecue grill area, benches, and a covered pavilion, making it easy to relax while your dog roams (on-leash). With wheelchair accessible paths, restrooms, and ample parking, families and their four-legged friends enjoy a welcoming, inclusive environment. Lovely wooded trails offer shade and the chance to see small waterfalls, bridges, and explore Hudson’s natural beauty.
BOTTOM LINE : Playground, baseball diamond, and hiking trails! Everything you need, right in town!
PRO : Great playground with modern equipment, a nice baseball field, general fields for games, football, etc, and nice hiking trails for a walk or running through the woods. Geocaches are here, too.
CON : Playground equipment is the highest I’ve ever seen, with some dangerous falls for toddlers who aren’t careful
I love Cascade Park in Hudson Ohio. it is not a place you just bump into by accident. Actually if you do not know the area, you probably don’t look for a park here, and it is at the end of a infrequent neighborhood. So you Have to want to be here to drive and arrive in the parking lot. Once you are there you see the several, scattered elements of the playground which do not look incredibly impressive at first but you can find everything you want. The highest public slide is here – that I have ever seen at least.
Then there is a hiking path with outdoor fitness machines. Walking there , you can also see some little waterfalls, Bridges, peek over to the golf course, There’s also access at the far end to another neighborhood. And yet when we go there , usually we just aimlessly browse around in the forest 🌳🌿🌱☘️🌲🍂🍁🐿😍
Great park for kids with really big slides. There is also a nice walking trail in the woods.
One of the best! It’s a very unique play station. My kids love the long slides. The feature of being away from the street protects little kids who might dash into traffic. The trails inside the park are very beautiful. They have different equipment every 1/8 mile for adults to do some exercise. It keeps both adults and children enjoying walking. It is very muddy sometimes, though. It’s dog friendly too. Highly recommend it!
Lovely park for all ages. Large play area for the bigger kiddo’s and a smaller one for toddlers. There’s a pavilion with picnic tables which would be great for parties or gatherings. Next time we’ll bring charcoal and cookout on the grilling grids provided. I like that there were benches around the park so parents can relax and keep an eye on the children. Another thing that is well planned is that there are a few swing sets in the park but are setup away from other equipment which makes it safer. There are surrounding woods and trails so something for the whole family. I believe there are zip lines, but we did not look for them. Basketball hoops and baseball field are situated on the other side of the parking lot. Everything was clean and well maintained. Highly recommend this park 👌
