We had a great time here for the weekend at the rustic campgrounds. The beach is beautiful, not crowded like others. If your booking a tent site here, make sure you check the pictures closely, some sites are very small and others are way more secluded. Original I booked rustic site 3 and it wouldnt even fit 2 tents, I had to cough up an extra 10$ to change my site to R70, and the difference between sites is night and day, we couldn’t see our neighbors at R70 whereas site 3 we would have been 10 feet from the main driving road with no trees in between. Do your research if your booking here. Overall a good site, very nice community and plenty of places close by for firewood purchase.
Loved this place. Very beautiful and quiet. The beach was very nice and clean. Rented a pontoon boat at a reasonable charge which is right on site. We seen a bald eagle in the tree. The picture isnt very clear but the eagle is on the top branch. I would highly recommend this campground.

I had no idea how beautiful north central Pennsylvania is ,it is amazing!Tennessee and Georgia state parks have the bar for state parks really high ,but Pennsylvania has not disappointed !This pet and big rig friendly park is a 5,900-acres park ,3 campgrounds and a 1,730 acre lake. There’s plenty to do. Swimming,Boating, fishing ,camping,volleyball with Miles and miles of hiking and biking paths too but our favorite is….Non activity… just chillingA swimming beach,with showers and changing rooms and picnic shelters for the family outingA huge marina with 3 different boat launches in different areas A new State park inn ,cabins and yurts.We are in the Sycamore loop site # 73 this and most of the Oak loop are 30 amp power only with water faucets spread throughout the loops we were lucky the water faucet was right across the road to fill our freshwater tank. There are two dump stations a recycling and dumpster for garbageAll roads are newer paved as are the site pads are paved too. The newer loop white pine are All full hookups & about 15 sites in oak are too, all have clean modern bathhouses
One of the best parks that nature has to offer. DCNR made an amazing job on maintaining a clean park for human to use and sharing the space with other species. We stayed here in campground for 2 days over weekend. Our stay was pleasant , there are lot of things this park offers including a play area for kids , family friendly beaches , clean rooms , changing rooms with showers , lot of wonderfully located picnic spots with gazebo or shelters. Ample car parking on beaches. This area is mostly visited by boat owners to enjoy the lake here.
Beautiful, clean, and family friendly park. We stayed on pet friendly Sycamore Loop which had 50 amp electric and no water or sewer. According to the map, looks like most RV sites had 30 amp no sewer or water but there were a few that were full hookups. All the rv sites were paved as were the roads. The trash center had plenty of dumpsters and impressive recycling options, which seems rare. The RV dump station was convenient and well organized and included a potable water pump (for non-campers it was NULL residents and NULL nonresidents). Be sure to pick up a Bald Eagle Recreational Guide as it gives the park history but also lists 50 living things to identify. There was a big beach with a concession stand, some trees for shade, and a roped off area for kids to play. It has a marina with boats and bikes to rent. I should mention the Sycamore loop outside the bathroom has a sink big enough to wash a dog in along with a foot pedal for hands free operation. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!
