Located conveniently in Houston, Texas, Jody Miller Dog Park offers a welcoming environment for pets and their owners looking for an off-leash dog park. This dog park in Houston is wheelchair accessible and features free parking, making it easy for everyone to visit. The park is a favorite spot for locals and those stopping by nearby pet clinics, providing an opportunity for dogs to socialize and play in a designated legal off-leash area.
While the park includes helpful amenities such as multiple trash bins, poop bags, agility equipment, and a working dog water fountain, visitors have noted that the grassy areas can be overgrown at times, and that some fencing and gate maintenance issues have persisted. Jody Miller Dog Park is designed for all sizes of dogs combined in one area and offers pet-friendly walking paths nearby. It’s especially appreciated for its easy access and relaxed, community-oriented atmosphere, where both pets and people tend to enjoy friendly company.
The grass was so overgrown you couldn’t tell if there was dog poop where you would step
Not a great dog park, but it’s pretty nice. Pros – Other dogs also showed up and the people were nice. There’s some agility activities for the dogs to play with and plenty of trash cans and doggy bags in case you forget yours. Free parking as well.
Cons – The park is on the smaller side and the front gate is missing. The grass is also a bit overgrown and could use a mow.
It’s a shame the city doesn’t seem to care about maintaining this dog park. Both the inner and outer gate on the entrance to the dog park are missing. There’s another opening along the north-facing fence line. And the fence is damaged in other places as well. The water fountain buttons are damaged, although the dog water part seemed to work. Checking 311, this issue was reported in March 2024. I visited in October 2024 so seven months and the city still hasn’t tried to repair it. The fence line is the most important part of a dog park. Unfortunately can’t recommend this park to anyone unless your dog is trained enough to not run off.
Very underrated on reviews wish was bigger and had more dogs coming to it but not sure why low reviews it’s clean and glad it’s there adjacent to a nice small path to walk too. We’ll I liked it!!
I see theres some older reviews about the gate being “broken” so i went down with my dog cause my vet emancipet was nearby and theres usually a wait time. It’s only one sized dog park no separate sections for small dogs or big dogs. Some “dog” pick up needed and needed trash bags in the bins, it was maintained and the gate is fine.
