This is a gem of a trail. Took an hour long walk from Cypher Station toward Tatesville and back. Very peaceful walk. Bubbling streams, pristine woodlands, nice walking surface.

This trail was wonderful! I am training for a full Ironman and needed to do a 2 hour walk/jog. I walked/jogged over 7 miles round trip (I am not fast lol). I went to the trail on Weds July 31st 2024 at around 11:45am. I was the only person on the trail. It was a clean gravel surface (suitable for gravel road bike not so great for a regular road bike) and very easy to walk/jog on it. It was worth the 45-minute drive from my cabin at Blue Knob state park, but be ready for a very very hilly drive with breath taking landscapes and 11% grade climbs and declines along with the PA classic rolling hills. I am not sure if this trail is underutilized or if it was that I was there in the middle of a work day. The mile markers are big and clear and there are benches along the way. I did not walk on the family part of the trail but went the other way. I would definitely walk/jog on this trail again. Very peaceful.

This is a nice rails to trails trail through Bedford County. Much of the northern portions run along the Juniata River. Great for walking or biking. It’s a recreational treasure!

Went to Pennslyvania to run the Mountain railroad half marathon on the H&BT rail trail. It was a beautiful trail loved the area.

Fabulous bike trail. It was a little gravelly in spots, but nothing too crazy. Very peaceful and while we saw a few other folks it we mostly had the trail to ourselves. Would definitely come back!
