Doherty Park used to be maintained a lot better. Specifically, it’s nature trail, it’s road, and the dog park “member” system. There used to be a nature trail which went all around the park and held status as a local gem for being a trail closeby. Now, it’s almost entirely overgrown.
For the road, it’s almost impossible to drive through it without going through holes and puddles making entering it almost treacherous.
As a town park, do you really expect people to pay to use your facilities? Let’s be real: nobody actually wants to pay for the dog park. It’s left unlocked most of the time and, for what it’s currently worth, it deserves to be. However, the town decides that it’s best for people to be forced PAY A GRAND AMOUNT just to kick other people out. WHY DO YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR A DOG PARK? It’s nice to see that the small caged area for dogs is kept clean, but when you take a step back and look at the bigger picture, the park practically looks like a construction site!
