The Whitley terrace steps are an excellent way to see a cool historical landmark and get some exercise. Nestled within one of the oldest neighborhoods in Hollywood, this is an excellent little stair climb(about 160 stairs) amongst the Mediterranean architecture. There are several great vistas of the Hollywood hills. Definitely worth a quick detour if your in the neighborhood. They start at the top on Whitley terrace and end on Milner Ave. A quick shortcut if your going to the Hollywood Bowl from the area

Great hidden staircase for large dog owners. Since it’s in my neighborhood I run these stairs with my golden boy 🦮 when in a time crunch to get his daily exercise in. This place is also a beautiful historical area with scenic views and original architecture.

NOTE – please keep it down and respect the privacy of the residents as many of the staircases in this area (including the Whitley Terrace Steps) is basically located in people’s backyards.

Hollywood resident most my life but just recently discovered some history about “Hollywood Land” community and the “hidden stair” the Whitley Terrace Steps are located off of Highland Blvd at Milner Road. It may seem a bit confusing because most of the area is residential and the entrance to the steps look like the front gate of someone home, but the gate was unlocked and plaque on wall confirmed this was an entrance for public use. Looking forward to do more exploring of some Hollywood history.
