FAQ for Holiday Travel Park in Holiday Florida:
Have a friend that lives in park. Compared to many others in and around the Tampa area isn’t that bad. Seems quiet and not a lot of traffic going on. Nice pond and ducks!
The location is good as its close to tarpon springs but the area the park is located is not as nice. First Encore park I have been to without a gate which they need. There was someone stealing bikes while we where there and two of ours were stolen, my fault for not locking them up i guess. In my 15 years of camping in Florida i never felt a need but lesson learned. A gate would definitely help here.
Horrible management she doesn’t do her job at all she give is cheap excuses this a liability and still sits there with her face looking at me like I’m the wrong one. This is just a tip from the iceberg. Monday morning she got a call from a resident of the park saying that is a light pole about to fall down, my self and my husband went to the park office on the same day day she got the call we wore there about 1:30 pm telling her about the light not working and the light pole that is about to collapse she turns around and said oh someone already called this morning for the light pole I’m like oh ok so what are you going to do ? Guess what she didn’t even had the guts to put a caution tape around or even a cone to alert the people of the falling pole. is just bs.
It’s our first time camping here for a vacation visiting family in New Port Richey. We stayed at site #6 in our 38ft. Motorhome. Nice clean concrete site with full hook ups and a picnic table. Very nice clubhouse with billiards room, excersize room and huge library with puzzles, books and dvds that you can borrow while you are here. Everything was neat and clean. Outdoor games such as connect 4, a big chess game and shuffle board. A nice clean laundry with 2 washers and 2 dryers in the area we were closest to. The pool was not open yet after a renovation due to waiting on a permit I was told. Had the pool been open I would surely have given a 5 star! We found this place to be close to everything we needed to get to. It was in the high 80’s for Temps so the pool really would have been nice. It was quiet here. Staff and residents who live here were kind.
Have a 23’ trailer. Stayed here because we are members of Thousand Trails. Guess there was a reason why this was the only place I could get a reservation on short notice. Most spots are by permanent residents.Very tight roads and narrow spots. YOU NEED A SURGE SUPPRESSOR. The first day we stayed there was a big surge.Water pressure a little on the low side. The sewer hook up is in the concrete so it was a little difficult to hook that up.Bathrooms are not air conditioned. Now for the good parts – the library and club house is great! Pool tables, competition shuffleboard, horse shoes, and corn hole courts. Pool looked nice.Pet friendly but no free run area. I didn’t see any strip club as prior reviews mentioned but there is a liquor store and lounge, restaurant, and grocery within walking distance. Very short drive to the Sponge Docks in Tarpon Springs.I liked the location but I too wasn’t going to be walking around at night. There were a lot of homeless people hanging out by the entrance to the park.
