🐾 How to Handle Aggressive Dogs at the Dog Park – Real Advice from Dog Owners
Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
If you’re traveling through Holbrook, Arizona and looking for a pet-friendly destination, Holbrook Dog Park is an excellent place for dogs to stretch their legs and play on real grass. Conveniently located for highway travelers, this dog park features a well-maintained grassy area, easy parking—even for large vehicles or trailers—and is wheelchair accessible. The park’s picnic tables make it easy to relax while your pup enjoys some off-leash time.
This dog park stands out for offering free poop bags and multiple trash cans, encouraging responsible pet ownership. While it is praised for its cleanliness and maintenance, visitors are reminded to watch for dog waste left by less considerate park-goers. Restrooms are not on-site but are available at a nearby Chevron across the street. If you’re looking for a dog-friendly stop with amenities right in Holbrook, this small but convenient park is a great choice for a quick play session or a break during longer road trips.
Great place to take a break from driving and stretch your legs for a bit.
Literally one of the worst dog runs I have ever seen. This is not a dog park. This is a dog run, and a bad one at that. Full of dog waste with ample supply of dog poop bags, no less.
Sammy enjoyed having grass finally instead of sand or rocks. It would be better if people would pick up after their dogs like they r suppose to…they even provide free bags!
I come to Holbrook each week for work and I love to bring my dog along. I always leave a little early each trip, that way my girl can have some time to enjoy the dog park before I have to pick up supplies. I really love to bring her here. The city does a great job keeping this place looking nice. They take great care of the grass, too. There’s a ton of room to park your vehicle, especially if you drive a tractor trailer or towing a large trailer. There’s also a couple tables next to the dog park to enjoy a picnic, along with plenty of trash cans. The only downside is that other visitors don’t appear to watch their dogs, so you need to watch for dog poop if you go into the grass with your dog. There’s also no restrooms, but there’s restrooms at the Chevron across from there. I highly recommend this place otherwise.
Great dog park. Super easy to jump off the highway and let the fur babies stretch their legs. I’m so grateful for this.
Yes it’s small, but it’s grass. And well maintained.
