Located near the waterfront on Hudson Street, Stevens Park is a beloved green space in Hoboken, New Jersey. While the park is best known for its scenic views, picnic spots, and proximity to local hotspots like the little league field and Sinatra Drive’s restaurants, it’s also a popular destination for dog owners seeking a pet-friendly outing. Accessible from the Hoboken PATH station via River Street, Stevens Park offers easy city access and a relaxing, open environment perfect for walking your dog or enjoying a stroll with your pet.
The park features a dedicated dog park area, making it a convenient spot for locals to let their dogs get some fresh air and exercise. Parents appreciate the park’s kid-friendly amenities, including open spaces for play and summer camp gatherings, while dog owners benefit from its prime location and the community atmosphere. Though not as fully equipped as some other dog parks in Hoboken, the combination of riverfront views, green lawns, proximity to the baseball field, and accessibility make Stevens Park a cherished destination for residents and their four-legged friends.
Spent many many hours here as a kid 🏅⚾ MY HAPPY PLACE 😂
From the perspective of a parent looking to distract their child it’s a nice spot. Close to the river – spacious, but not as well equipped as the other parks in Hoboken. Admittedly competition is tough. There is a water spraying area that wasn’t on yet when I arrived.
For me the park is a handy place to cross when I walk from the Hoboken PATH station to Stevens Tech. River Street empties right into the park. There is also a little league field here which I have reviewed separately as a site within the park
My husband has been bringing all three children to this park since they were babies. They get food from the baseball field concession stand and watch little league games. Eleanor’s preschool used to come here for summer camp, and kids from all over New Jersey visit to participate in the Stevens math Olympiad.
A great public park for everyone to relax and have a picnic or walk your dog in the dog park. It’s right near the water front where all the restaurants along Sinatra and the little league field, plenty of sight seeing, there is no bathroom in this park but there is up by the little league field, when there’s baseball games.
