Located in the heart of Hillsdale, New Jersey, Veterans Park is a peaceful community spot known for its scenic greenery, welcoming atmosphere, and central location at 143 Broadway. While not a traditional dog park, dog owners and pet lovers enjoy the shady spaces, picnic tables, benches, and the park’s relaxed vibe. The park features several monuments and plaques commemorating local veterans and firemen, offering a unique and reflective experience for visitors.
This park is a great choice for a quick outdoor lunch with your furry friend or a relaxing break while strolling through town. Pet-friendly eateries are nearby, including a popular hot dog stand and local delis. Shade is abundant with tall trees and a gazebo near the railroad tracks, making it comfortable for dogs and their owners to sit and enjoy the day. However, features specifically for dogs, such as fenced off-leash areas or water fountains, are not available. Waste bins are present but may be limited, and there are no restroom facilities for people.

Nice little space to reflect eat and train watch

Nice little park with a several picnic tables and benches. Good spot where you can sit and eat your delicious hot dog or sausage. You can buy them from the little stand outside the Ehmer meat market across the street. Lots of nice dedications to local veterans and firemen. Looks to me like this might rightly be called the Veterans & Firemans Memorial Park as per the different plaques and monuments(see pic) Great little gazebo near the RR tracks.
They need more waste cans as there was lots of litter on the ground near the picnic tables. No facilities or recreation area.

Nice shady green area with picnic tables and nice places to grab food-yummy hot dog/sausage stand, good Mexican food, and bagel stores!

Really nice park right in the center of town. Need new trash cans that don’t allow overflowing

Quaint little park that doesn’t offer much. It is a nice sit down place for some lunch with family or friends but not a place to take children. There are some concerts held here but I have yet to see any.
