We visited NH recently from NC and really struggled to find a dog friendly outdoor location where we could eat lunch: We finally got some take out, thinking we could find a picnic table in a nice spot. Web reviews indicated that Manahan Park was pet friendly, but no sooner had we set our bags of food down on a table when we were told by a worker that our dog could not be there. I understand the beach not being pet friendly, but it was strange that the wooded area was not pet friendly. Very different from what we’re used to in NC! Just be advised if you are traveling with a dog that finding pet friendly places in that area of NH may be challenging.

Very small, roped off area for the kids – which is fine – but like another person mentioned here in the reviews, if you’re an adult, you’re not allowed to swim outside of the ropes, nor are you allowed to use a float! Feels like you’re constantly being watching by the teenage lifeguards who are on a power trip with a little bit of authority. Not sure about you, but especially if paying a fee to get in, you shouldn’t be babysat as an adult. They also don’t give you any type of “rule sheet” so they just watch until coming up to you and busting balls. In addition the sand should be redone, frequent e-coli warnings, facilities need updating, and rules should be posted at the gate upon arrival before paying a fee. People would also come and sit right on top of you – no personal space or awareness of others, whatsoever! If you enjoy a clean and serene beach where you can relax, this is not it.

Cool little gem. I don’t want to say to much because its a gem 😂if you are near there looking for a day at the lake – great option!

Nice clean beach and clean lake water. Not mucky like other local ponds. People were respectfully distanced. Permanent bathrooms are closed during COVID but there are a few portapotties. A delightful and beautiful place for families!

This is a beautiful, family friendly beach with a nice clean sandy bottom, two big docks, a large roped off swimming area, a play area including swing set, and lots of room on the beach to spread out. There are trees along the edges of the beach area which provide some shade for those who need it. Picnic tables and grilling area as well. This is a great spot!
