This is a great place to go camping, or to just spend the day. Beautiful views of Lake Winnebago, with gorgeous sunsets!! Great hiking trails as well. I love how the park is consistently making improvements each year.
Offers a nice view of lake Winnebago and the breeze is very refreshing during this hot weather. Plenty of spots to picnic. Many of the campsites that are in the Sun and very open not private
This is a really nice park. It’s basically a much smaller version of High Cliff State Park but for 0% of the cost, at least for day use. There are camps along the lake and camps up above the escarpment, and hiking/biking trails in between. There are also bathroom facilities, services for travel trailers, and a small store in the office. For long-term camping, I think High Cliff wins for the greater diversity of hiking trails, but to get away for the day and maybe even one night, this place is an excellent deal.
Calumet County Park is absolutely fabulous! We camp there every year. Great campsites and gorgeous scenery! The hiking trails are some of our favorites. In addition they are always making improvements. And the ice cream is great! Highly recommend!
A scenic park on Lake Winnebago. Most of the campsites have at least some view of the lake, which I liked. The sites weren’t particularly large and some of the bigger units out there might not fit in very well. The showers were pay (which I don’t like), there was no temperature adjustment and it took at least 2 minutes for the water to get warm enough to even get in. The temperature never did get hot enough for my comfort. The ice cream they sell was delicious. I’d probably come back and stay again despite the showers.
