This is a beautiful park. There are two adjacent well maintained playgrounds, one for kids 2-5 years, the other for 5-12 years including swings. The basketball court and baseball/soccer field were also well kept. There is a nice looking fence with a gate that completely separates the playground from the pond, which provides peace of mind when bringing young kids to the playground. The large pavilion had a dozen tables and two clean bathrooms with multiple stalls/sinks, running water, and a changing table. A great place to spend the day with kids!
Came here for an event held by Buffalo Soldiers MC. Its my first time coming here and have to say this park is beautiful. Its huge, ample parking, great views, clean and maintained. The neighborhood is beautiful and quaint. Its an awsome place to bring children, friends and family of all ages. I highly recommend checking this park out, nice place to relax and chill out 😎
So first of all the park is fine. Then I saw the highlandfallsny dot org website, and it is NOT fine. It looks like a website an evangelical preacher would design in 1992. I was upset. 0 stars. Then I imagined maybe old Miss Mabel the assistant town clerk was responsible for maintaining this website, and its the best she could do. My heart was warmed, 5 stars. Then I checked the bottom of the webpage, and turns out an actual company is responsible for what was done to that website. I went to the company’s page, and it turns out they got awards and was on the “INC 5000 fastest growing companies list”. Translation: in 2007 they were in the top 5000 companies in the US with nice revenue growth year-on-year. Top 5000.Needless to say, I was back at 1 star. feel free to google (in double-quotes) “Website by Belsito Communications” and enjoy all the WordPress websites your heart desires. But the park was fine. 4 stars.
This place is great to walk your dog or spend time with the family. Geese occupy the pond almost year round. In the summer the pond can get a bit scummy and smelly. There’s also covered area for picnics or gatherings. There’s a small playground for children to play on. People also play softball at the baseball field in the corner of the park. Just know that it can get a bit muddy after some rain or snow.
