It’d be better if everyone would just take their trash with them instead of leaving it on the beach and destroying the natural habitat.

This is a very difficult road to access a beach I never got to. I recommend going .3 mile back west to High Island Beach itself, as it’s right on the main road. Gorgeous sunrise, though!

I love coming here. No one bothers you. Its called boondocks camping. There will be bugs. This is still Texas. Lol You never know what you might find… YES, I found chickens the last time I was here. Lol Lots of pelicans fly over often. Its well worth the price. Free… Not many places you can camp and explore without passes or fees. Oh, there is a port a potty when you enter beach.
