Dog Beach Park is a unique destination for dog owners searching for a dog-friendly spot in Hidden Valley Lake, California. This private beach park is best known for its direct lake access, making it an excellent place for dogs who love to swim and play in the water. Visitors frequently comment on the peaceful setting and describe it as a great spot to let your dog burn off energy and even try dock diving from the available dock into the lake. Pet owners appreciate the less crowded atmosphere, which creates a more enjoyable and relaxed experience for both people and pets.
While Dog Beach Park provides tables for resting, it’s important to note that amenities are somewhat limited. There is no wheelchair access, and the park is privately managed—meaning you’ll need to know a resident or gain guest access through a local contact. Despite its small size, the park’s lakeside access and dog-friendly policies set it apart for those living in or visiting the Hidden Valley Lake area. It’s a perfect local spot for those searching for a swimming area for dogs and a dog park with water access in Lake County, California.
It is an awesome place for dogs to swim and get out some energy. It is down a little hill but that seems to help keep the dogs in the general area.
This is a private beach. Don’t bother wasting your gas getting there unless you know a resident who can let you in. Guard was nice enough but he stuck to the rules.
That kitty was the sweetest, just worry that he is not well taken care of. He was under weight and not neutered.
The beach it self was nice but extremely small. If more than two dogs were there at the same time there could be fights.
It’s nice to see a dog friendly park with water access. However, there is very little development and it’s a little on the small side. Also it could use another bench and the beach area needs some leveling out. Currently a 6 to 8 inch drop to access water. Other than that, it’s a nice spot and my dogs enjoyed learning how to swim.
This is my favorite park to go to at hidden lake. It is open to dogs and also people can swim here, there is a dock that you can jump off if you want to and you can also swim over to the normal beach. the area itself has some tables if you want to rest while your dogs/kids play in the water. There is also much less people so it can be more enjoyable
