This repurposed baseball field provides plenty of open room for your dog to run and play, complete with separate fenced areas for large and small dogs. The park stands out for its agility obstacles, water fountains in each section, and ample shaded seating and shelters, making it a comfortable destination even on a hot North Carolina day.
This dog park in Hickory is highly accessible, featuring wheelchair-friendly pathways and parking, as well as public restrooms. Owners will appreciate the well-maintained grounds, benches, and picnic tables, while pups can enjoy tunnels, jumps, and wide open expanse to burn off energy. Whether you’re a local or just passing through on I-40, this dog park is worth a stop for pet-friendly fun and social time for both dogs and their owners.
Nice repurposing of a baseball field. Plenty of room for my dogs to run and play with the two other dogs that were at the park. The water stations and obstacles were great features to keep dogs hydrated and entertained.
It is a hot June day out here at the dog park, we are spending most of our time under the shelters. Nice well kept park. Water fountain for the pups, and some equipment. Worth the stop. Looks like it was a baseball field at one time. Perfect reuse for a field. There were some homeless people fighting at the bathrooms, but they kept to themselves.
A repurposed baseball field serves as a great spot for dogs! A large dog space is separated from a small dog area. Dog water fountains in each area. Shelters and benches for adults, jumps and tunnels for the dogs. This is a well kept park and a nice spot to bring your pup for a visit with other locals.
What an amazing and LARGE dog park, close to I-40! They converted an old baseball field into a very large area for large dogs and another smaller area for smaller dogs. This is one of the nicest and definitely the biggest of the dog parks I have seen. Buster loved it, and I did too. The park has several shaded seating areas and indoor bathrooms for humans. Great place, I highly recommend visiting.
Great place to bring your dog. My only real complaint is all the holes around the park. Yes, I understand dogs will be dogs, but someone should really swing by occasionally and fill some of them in, at least around the entrance. The other day, my girlfriend actually twisted her ankle about 10 steps in due to one of said holes. Other than that, wonderful place.
