Located just off Greyhound Blvd, Hibbing Dog Park is a welcoming community hub for dog owners in Minnesota’s Iron Range. This dog park features expansive, grassy spaces offering plenty of room for dogs to romp and socialize, all within a secure, fully fenced environment. Large mature trees throughout the park provide shade, while benches offer comfort for owners. The park is located on historic grounds, adding a unique local charm and a slice of Hibbing’s history to your visit.
One of the highlights of Hibbing Dog Park is its clear separation between play spaces for large and small dogs—ensuring a safe environment for pets of all sizes. Although there are no water fountains, the park provides doggy waste bags to help keep things clean, as well as a porta potty for owner convenience. With its friendly atmosphere and easy accessibility, this is a fantastic spot for a fun, off-leash outing in Hibbing.
Large space for dogs to play and benches for their humans to sit. Porta potty available and doggy bags.
Pretty nice dog park. The community of both people and dogs who were using it while I was there absolutely would get 5 stars. The park itself could use a water supply. That’s not a deal breaker but I will have to remember to bring water along the next time we visit. It’s not hard to get to the park, even though it’s nicely away from busy residential areas of town.
Dog loved playing with others dogs! All other dogs were playfully and fun loving
Nice sized area with two different sides. Plenty of grass and trees. There does not appear to be a water source nearby although there is a portable toilet. Our puppy enjoyed himself.
My wife has been living on the range ever since she was born. Her knowledge about the areas surrounding it is truly amazing. Today we were out visiting the Hibbing Dog Park because she said it once was a busy town with buildings all around. It’s no longer this way because a fire broke out and combed through the area causing major destruction. The city has done an amazing job, making this area not only a great place for owners to bring their dogs but a fun place to throw some frisbee golf as well. What’s really great about these dog parks are that they are completely fenced in and they have separate areas for both big dogs and small dogs. We both agreed that if we drive over to Hibbing more often we will have to bring our German Shepherd with us to get all of that energy out. As you walk around the areas you can see slabs where houses once stood, sidewalks that are now overgrown with trees, bushes, and high grass. It’s sad to see that a town was burned down, but the takeaway from all of this is that city didn’t despair into nothing. They overcame it and rebuilt and now we can enjoy this dog park together. Come check it out, you won’t be disappointed. #dogpark #hibbingmn #germanshepherd #history #minnesotahistory #minnesota #dogs #park #frisbeegolf #schroyerfamilydaily #arrenschroyer
