This is a fantastic getaway in the town itself, if you feel like having an adventure and don’t want to travel far you can have a similar hiking and adventure experience right here, just be extremely careful while you are walking as there could be small snakes depending on how the climate is on that particular day, you will get to see a whole lot of birds as well..

Nice place for a short walk. On the other end of the trail there’s a playground but I didn’t see any restroom. There are a few benches where you can rest and eat. Even at the entrance next to the parking

Came here to hike a few times. Nice path, mostly maintained and shaded. Had to go through a park and behind an apartment complex for part of it, but still enjoyed

Beautiful park right in the middle or city. Onr step on the trail and you are in a different world.
The subtle sound of the stream, breeze through the canopy of the trees and the light getting filtered through the green of the leaves makes it so serene.
Lucky to be a few minutes walk away from the trail, however challenging the days are, one step here in the evening just lifts all the stress away and the fills one with energy to walk around and soak in nature.
Met this family of deers on mynlast visit, they were picking an early dinner while I clicked them from a distance🦌🌳

Lovely dirt and gravel trail park. Meadow, forest and stream trails are all available here within town limits as well as picnic facilities and a port-a-potty if you know where to look. Download the trail map before you go. The trails are well marked, but only a few full maps are posted. Serenity right off of Herndon Parkway. Ahhhhh…
